Wash separately. At first wash do not use any detergent. Add a handful of table salt and 2 cups of white vinegar directly onto the robe in the machine. Wash on cold and short cycle. Air dry only.
After first wash you can use mild detergent but always add salt and vinegar as described above directly to your robe.
